Today we wanted to highlight two easily confused local frog species that you will likely hear calling in almost any wetland on a warm night. Although the bull frog can grow larger, a smaller individual can appear almost identical to an adult green frog at first glance. The quickest way to separate the two species is that the bull frog only has the ridge / skin fold that curves around its ear drum (tympanum). Green frogs also have a fold that extends to their rear that the bull frog lacks.
