Rescue & Rehabilitation

The purpose of the Susquehannock Wildlife Society is to protect wildlife. This is accomplished not only through conservation and education, but also though direct rescue and rehabilitation of injured, orphaned, or distressed wildlife.

When faced with injured or distressed wildlife, most people don’t know where to turn for help. We aim to simplify this process and reduce the response time on rescue calls to give wildlife a better chance at survival.

We have setup a network of caring volunteers who will respond to injured wildlife calls and transport them to receive the help they need from those who are trained and certified to provide it. We have partnered with local licensed wildlife rehabilitation facilities and veterinarians who will care for the wildlife and do their best to help return them to the wild.

Our longterm goal is build a centralized wildlife center which can accommodate these rescued animals, rehabilitate them back to health, and release them back into the wild.

If you have a wildlife emergency, please call 443-333-WILD.
